 Editing a Narrative Sequence: Half Cooked

For my editing task, I worked on a scene from Half Cooked, a film made by my instructor. I was provided with the script, shot footage, and separate audio files. My job was to bring all these elements together into a seamless narrative sequence.

Editing Process

  • Reviewing the Material – I started by going through the script, footage, and audio files to understand the scene’s structure and flow.

  • Placing the Shots – I arranged the shots on the timeline according to the script, ensuring continuity and proper sequencing.

  • Syncing the Audio – I carefully synced the dialogue and sound effects with the corresponding visuals.

    By combining all these elements, I was able to create a polished sequence that effectively conveyed the intended story and emotions.
